Isn’t it nice to enjoy the sun again this weekend. Feet up, glass in hand, it’s good to be outside and enjoy the sun in the garden.
Now, I’m not going to complain about it, but sometimes in this country it can get too hot, can’t it? As not all of us are lucky enough to have a swimming pool in our properties, trying to stay cool can be a hassle.
Sure, we can all pull out a tub of ice cream or lollipop from the freezer, but we also have to worry about our summer bodies! Well, the good news is that one of the south’s top attractions, great for the whole family, is based right here in Hampshire and just might be the perfect place to cool off this summer.

The New Forest Aqua Park, the UK’s largest outdoor floating inflatable park, has officially reopened for the summer season. Based in the New Forest Water Park in Fordingbridge, the venue opened in 2017.
Since then, thousands of people have enjoyed the park. Inflatables are made up of a range of different things to keep you entertained, including trampolines, monkey bars, flippers, slides, hurdles and stepping stones. There are also rockers, rollers, an overhanging climbing wall, swings and more.
Open Wednesday through Sunday each week, from now until September 25, the water park is divided into two areas. These areas are known as Poseiden and Neptune and they open at different times of the day for time slots.
Both parks are almost identical, and the good news is that they are also of similar difficulty. They share inflatables and each also has a high jump point for those brave enough to try.
The parks were originally divided due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, and have remained that way ever since. 80 customers can be fitted per session and buoyancy aids are given to everyone who visits.
Each session lasts approximately one hour. Only those who can swim are allowed to ride on the inflatables and you must be at least six years old and taller than 110cm.
Sessions cost £20 per person. You can also hire a wetsuit from the site for £5 and book multiple sessions in a row.
But if you’re headed to the water park, why not make the most of the other New Forest Water Park offerings. There is something to please everyone.
There is an area for open water swimming, and you can also do cable wakeboarding. This is available for beginners and those who are slightly more advanced.
Kayaks and paddleboards can also be rented on site, and you can bring your own for an additional fee. There is also Jen’s Café which offers everything from snacks to burgers and pizza to salads.
If you want to stay even longer on the site, you can camp! The New Forest Water Park offers camping for a range of guests, with a shower and toilet block, sinks for washing up and a place for fresh drinking water.
